Mexican Peso
-
In Mexico, the major credit cards like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are widely accepted, especially in tourist areas and large cities. Discover cards are also accepted in some locations, but rural areas and smaller businesses might only accept Visa or MasterCard or require cash. It's always a good idea to have some cash on hand, especially for smaller purchases and in less touristy areas.

At the attendees discretion.
Travelers.com recommends the following:
Exchanging $200 to Peso at the airport (3932.49+-), which is about $50 a day. -
Mexico City in mid-September typically has mild to warm temperatures, with daytime highs around 70–75°F (21–24°C) and cooler evenings. It’s the tail end of the rainy season, so you can expect occasional afternoon showers or thunderstorms—pack an umbrella or light rain jacket just in case.
